An early-morning “Howdy” and welcome aboard to Ray. Sorry, Ray if I had not said hello before now. Somehow you sorta sneaked in on the followers list. If I have said hello, well . . . consider yourself doubly welcomed! Ray has a blog, so you can click on his name up there and visit him.
Well, I am starting this entry bright (?) and early this morning, having been brought out of fitful slumber by the sweet (?) fragrance of . . . skunk. Stepping out of the rig, I did not see anything. This happened a week or so ago and, later that morning after his rounds, Dave reported seeing one on the road that was “napping,” an ex-skunk. Either the fragrance carried or one was prowling around near our rig in the night. Of course, Dave – lucky him – seems impervious to the smell of these critters.
I tried sleeping on the sofa with the overstuffed back pillows out of their cases and, although it looked inviting pre-slumber, I can tell you it was indeed a fitful night. The darn thing is still too narrow and waaaaaay too short.
Michael Ultra asked if I had considered a futon. Michael, yes, but it would have to be folded out, set up, and then folded back again each day. I am looking for something I can essentially leave put together and still have room in the rig to maneuver around comfortably. Thanks for your suggestion, though!
Well, guess I’ll wrap this up and continue to enjoy the rest of my quiet time before things get hopping around here. I’m told we’ll be seeing ten (count ‘em – 10!) dump trucks rambling through today picking up loads of “stuff” from one of the mill sites. Not sure if we have to weigh them all but, even if we don’t, it should be a slightly busier day.
Thanks for stopping by!
PU! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't those skunks up there know they should be snuggling somewhere out of the cold and not walking along the roadway?
